I had shot this piece of machine before, but like the weathered barn, I had wanted to take a crack at this.

Rusted Machine
I was hoping to get a better angle and different play on the depth of field.

Windows
I just loved this weathered barn at Oxbow Park. Each time we are here, I find something else about it I find interesting. These windows with the siding made for some interesting lines....you know me...and lines.

Back At Oxbow Park
This past Saturday, I took the kids out Oxbow Park, in Byron MN. They were celebrating their SpringFest. The kids loved it and I was looking forward to filling up a memory card or two. I've been here before for shooting and had a blast!
The first shot I wanted to share leaves me with questions about finding the right white balance.
This first shot is as shot with AWB (auto white balance). It was shot indoors with only a UV filter using my Canon 17-85mm IS lens. The white looks true, but the floor seems to have a bluer cast to it. I like the cool shift for everything but the floor. I would have liked this to have a harsher shadow, but with only a 5 and 9 year old as assistants and their attention drawn to the other things in the room, I took a shot at composing the shot and getting it before I was over run with questions about how people of the 1930's lived.
In post processing, I shifted the white balance to "Shade" in Photoshop Elements. The floor looks right to me, but there seems to be a bit more orange to the rest of the scene then normal.
Besides the obvious of setting the white balance better in the field...what are your thoughts? Warm, cool or something else?
