The Bellagio

Not sure if this is my most artistic pictures, but I was really excited when I saw it.

This shot was taken from the observation deck up inside the Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel.

Here's a list of things to remember when attempting this shot that will hopefully allow us to improve on it.

  1. Dress warmly. It was freezing up there with the wind in December.
  2. Camp out for the good hole. The whole deck is surrounded by a cage to keep people from falling. There is one really good hole pointed at this hotel...get it early and don't move.
  3. Bring extra memory cards. I only had about 50 shots left when we got to the top. D'oh!
  4. Pay the extra for the night shot. Enough said.

Sounds like it was a lot of work to get this one, but definitely worth it!

Happy New Year.

Cool! I never got up to that observation deck. I should have. But I already took 650 pics there, so that was enough; I'll put it on my goal list for next time, since I will surely go back! Nice shots on here of yours. Especially do I love the Bellagio. Ever stayed at the MGM Grand?

Just Roaming the Cities - I have never stayed at the MGM, I've played hours worth of poker there. The Bellagio was by far my favorite to photograph. The next time I go out I'm hoping to get to the Neon Sign graveyard and I HAVE to see the Bellagio fountain at night. Treasure Island's outside show is fun to photograph as well. Basically, when the sunsets in Vegas, get your camera out...it's awesome.

Thanks for stopping by! Maybe I will run into you in the Cities sometime. We travel north from Rochester frequently.
