More from the Neon Graveyard

Las Vegas really was a blast. The Neon Museum turned out to be a great place to head with the camera for a couple of hours. My last post a couple weeks ago was a shot that didn't need much post processing. The hardest part of my annual trip is that once I get back, we run almost head on into Christmas. Time, my friends, is very precious.

I had considered doing this before flying to the desert, but I was worried about the time. Well, now time is available. I took my 30D in for a good professional cleaning. I wish I would have done this sooner because once I got to National Camera and looked at it, I knew right then and there why it's taking me forever to clean the pics. That sensor was filthy!

This shot didn't need much processing either. It's a bit more abstract then some I took here but I really loved the lines and the depth of field. This shot is as shot and taken directly from the camera, converted to JPG, watermarked and posted.

I've been cleaning up pictures and should be posting them very regularly over the next few weeks. I've also done something really crazy and will be joining some other local shutterbugs and shooting 1 picture every week for the next year. gotta hope I can do this, even if I have to pull a Jim Brandenburg and just shoot something. A few may suck, ok, several, but hopefully, it inspires me to shoot something every week.

The depth of field in this is great, with that mysterious soft focus text in the background. It really makes the subject stand out.
